Fire in Pademangan Successfully Extinguished

North Jakarta and Seribu Island Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency extinguished fire that burned six kiosks and 10 rent houses on Jalan Hidup Baru, RT 06/10, Pademangan Barat Urban Village, Pademangan Sub-district.

North Jakarta and Seribu Island Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency Officer on Duty, Ronal Parlaungan Pasaribu, said the fire was reported at 9:41 AM.

"We deployed 18 firetrucks with 90 personnel to extinguish the fire," he said, Monday (7/29).

Ronal explained the fire came for gas leaking in one of handphone kiosks.

"Personnel took one hour to extinguish the fire," he explained.

He added that there was one resident who suffered minor injuries as a result of jumping from the top floor.

"Estimated building area is 210 meters. For further investigation, this fire case is being handled by the police," he added.

Meanwhile, one of local residents, Arifin (42), appreciated and thanked the firefighter personnel for extinguishing the fire quickly.

"The area is a dense population," he admitted.
